More Than Just an English Tutor: Inspiring Success Through Personalised Learning

Amanda is more than a teacher. As a mother, she understands just how important a patient and caring approach is when students are faced with learning challenges. She therefore works tirelessly with her students to help find their secret to success. One of the great joys for Amanda in teaching is supporting students to learn in a way that empowers them and leads them to enjoy the learning process.

Throughout her career, Amanda has been a Head Teacher of English and has had extensive experience in fine-tuning learning for students from a range of backgrounds. Amanda also ran the Years 11 and 12 HSC programs at various schools, including in English Extension 1 and 2 and helped develop specific, targeted learning opportunities for HSC students to maximise their results across the syllabus.

As an advocate for Literacy and Writing, Amanda played an integral role in the Northern Sydney area literacy program which focused on students writing short, specific texts so that they may have ‘quick wins'. This allows them to see their progress and stay motivated through positive reinforcement.
